We've been asking you to share your best #covermoment and picking a handful of standouts to highlight every month. This month, in honor of the HUGE release of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, we're pulling out one lucky tribute #covermoment and *pause for dramatic effect* recreating YOUR look. That's right, @julzz311, you've inspired US.
Granted, we—ok, I—didn't do NEARLY as elegant a job at this Mockingjay-inspired beauty look as you (I have a fistful of thumbs and almost no patience), but we tried! And for the rest of you, we're breaking down the steps we took to get it, so that you can get properly decked out to head to the theater and watch one of these early showings of Catching Fire. LEGGO!
1.) Start by applying a bit of COVERGIRL's Flamed Out Shadow Pencil in Gold Flame at the inner corners of your eyes.
2.) Then, apply another Flamed Out Shadow Pencil in Ice Flame to the top of your lids, extending and blending all the way to the brow bone. This will mostly get covered by black liquid liner later, but it will add dimension to the overall look later.
3.) Line your entire eye—along the upper and lower lids and inside the lower lash line—with the Brow and Eye Makers Pencil in Midnight Black and start to frame out the winged effect around the outside corners of your eyes. For a look this involved, it's good to start with a more malleable liner first to create the general shape of the eye. That way, if you mess up, you can just smudge it out.

4.) Next, you're going to get down and dirty with some liquid eyeliner. Take the Line Exact Liquid Liner Pen in Very Black and create a more sharply angled shape (that still reflects your natural shape) for your brows. You can use the first few centimeters of the inside of your eyebrows as a guide for the slope and the outside corners of your eyes as a marker for when to turn the angle back down. Don't be afraid to get reeeeally in there and really exaggerated.
5.) With the same liquid liner, apply the feathered out effect just below your lower lashes, radiating outward toward your ears, and to your upper lids, extending down from the brow bone.
6.) Finally, finish the look off with two coats of the Flamed Out Mascara in Very Black Blaze on your upper AND lower lashes, and soak up your Catching Fire #covermoment!
