Whew. We did it, team. We made it through New York Fashion Week. While the focus tends to stay on the clothes that parade down the runway, you've gotta pay special attention to what the models have on their eyes, lips, and skin. We're talking beauty. Some looks are totally unreasonable for IRL wear, but some are totally feasible and should be introduced into your beauty game immediately. We've rounded up a few of our fave trends from Fashion Week and looked around for COVERGIRL products that will help you achieve these looks RIGHT NOW.
If you give any of them a shot, don't forget to share them with us on Twitter and Instagram using #covermoment for a chance to be featured on covermoment.com!
GILDED LIDS

One of our favorite looks were the gilded lids of models at Badgley Mischka and Altuzarra. Models at Badgley Mischka had liquid gold layered on top of black liner, while at Altuzarra, they wore a shimmery gold glitter sans liner. Both kept the rest of their look subdued 'cause, I mean, gold does all the talking. To get gold lids for yourself, try COVERGIRL's Bombshell ShineShadow by LashBlast in Gold Goddess or the Flamed Out Shadow Pencil in Gold Flame.
BERRY LIPS

The models at Nanette Lepore, Naeem Khan, and Rebecca Minkoff all wore deep berry lips, though in totally different finishes. At Nanette Lepore, it was more of a stain; at Naeem Khan, a shiny lipstick; at Rebecca Minkoff, totally matte. If you're looking for a stain, try COVERGIRL Outlast Lipstain in Wild Berry Wink. For a deeper color, try COVERGIRL Lipstick in Euphoria, or the Blast Flipstick in Flashy. For an extra touch of shine, try layering Lip Perfection Jumbo Gloss Balm in Jam Twist on top of your matte color.
WINGED LINER

Finally, one of the most prominent trends we saw on the runways was winged liner. While each designer had it done differently, the idea was the same: exaggerate the shape of the eye with eyeliner. At Karen Walker and Cushnie et Ochs, the black liner the models wore on their eyelids was extended beyond the lid. The models at Zac Posen and Herve Leger were more abstract—feathery at Zac Posen and layered at Herve Leger. For any type of winged liner, liquid is your best bet. COVERGIRL Bombshell Intensity Liner by LashBlast should make drawing a smooth line on your lids easy. Good luck!
